You should be prepared to take at least 1 week off work after your gynaecomastia surgery. If your job is on the more physically demanding side, you might need to take more time off.
For the first few days, you’ll experience some discomfort and your chest will feel tender. Swelling and bruising is expected at this stage, too.
Avoid any strenuous activity or heavy lifting for at least 3 weeks after your surgery, and only begin driving again once you can wear a seatbelt comfortably.
We’ll provide you with a medical-grade compression garment that you’ll need to wear for several weeks after your procedure. It will help your chest to heal and reduce any swelling.
