The procedure is performed under anaesthetic, and so you shouldn’t feel pain during the procedure. You might have some pain and discomfort following the procedure, but this will disappear as you heal.
Improved Comfort: Reduces discomfort during physical activities or when wearing certain types of clothing.
Enhanced Appearance: Improves the aesthetic look of the scrotum, which can boost self-confidence.
Reduced Irritation: Decreases skin irritation due to less friction and improved hygiene.
Corrects Abnormalities: Effectively corrects structural irregularities of the scrotum.
Scrotoplasty, like any surgical procedure, carries potential risks:
Infection and Bleeding: As with any surgery, there is a risk of infection and bleeding at the incision site.
Scarring: There may be some scarring, although it typically fades over time.
Sensitivity Changes: Some changes in the sensitivity of the scrotal skin can occur.
Swelling and Discomfort: Post-operative swelling and discomfort are common but usually temporary.
Scrotoplasty is usually performed under general or local anaesthesia. The surgeon makes an incision in the scrotum and then removes excess skin or reshapes the tissue to achieve the desired appearance and function. The incisions are then closed with sutures. The entire process typically takes about one to two hours.
Scrotoplasty is suitable for men who experience discomfort, functional issues, or self-consciousness due to the appearance or size of their scrotum. A thorough consultation with a qualified surgeon is necessary to assess your specific condition and discuss potential outcomes.
Recovery typically involves a short period of rest and limited activity to allow healing. You may experience some swelling and discomfort, which can be managed with medication. Most patients can return to work and light activities within a week, but strenuous activities and sexual activity should be avoided for several weeks.

The initial recovery is typically one to two weeks, with full recovery within four to six weeks.
Scrotoplasty generally doesn’t affect sexual function. However, it’s important to discuss any concerns with your surgeon.
Pain during the procedure is minimal due to anaesthesia, and postoperative pain is typically manageable with prescribed pain relief.
The results are generally permanent, but factors like aging or weight changes can alter the appearance over time.
Scrotoplasty is primarily cosmetic and comfort-focused and does not typically impact fertility.
